libcatmandu-perl software package provides metadata toolkit, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libcatmandu-perl
libcatmandu-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libcatmandu-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libcatmandu-perl *
You will get with libcatmandu-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
